Keep your materials consistent. While you change locations, keep your study tools and methods consistent. The variation should be in the environment, not in what or how you are studying. This way, the stable element - the actual content - is what your brain learns to retrieve regardless of surroundings.
When a Consistent Location Still Makes Sense
There are legitimate reasons to have a primary study space. If you struggle with discipline and need the routine of sitting at a specific desk to get started, that consistency has value. The trick is to not make it your only study location.
A good compromise: do about 60-70% of your studying in your primary spot for the routine benefit, and scatter the remaining sessions across other locations for the memory benefit. You get the discipline of a habit and the recall advantage of contextual variation.
