About Certin
Certin started with a simple frustration: exam prep for professional certifications was either overpriced, outdated, or built around passive study methods that don't actually work.
The first product was AREprep, built after seeing how broken the exam prep landscape was for architects. The ARE is one of the hardest professional licensing exams in the country — six divisions, hundreds of topics, and a pass rate that leaves most candidates retaking at least one section. The existing study tools were expensive textbooks, outdated flashcard decks, or subscription services that confused “more content” with “better preparation.”
AREprep took a different approach: active recall flashcards, timed practice exams that mirror the real test format, and detailed explanations for every single answer. It worked. Users started passing divisions on their first attempt, and the platform grew entirely through word of mouth.
Now Certin is expanding that same approach to other professional certifications. PMPprep brings the same methodology to the PMP exam, with more certifications on the way. The mission stays the same: build exam prep that actually prepares you for the exam, not just the feeling of studying.

Our Values
Every flashcard, question, and explanation is written to teach — not to pad a feature list. We'd rather have 500 excellent questions than 5,000 mediocre ones.
Reading notes feels productive but doesn't build retention. Our platforms force you to retrieve information from memory — the same way the real exam does.
We don't outsource content creation to people who've never sat in that exam chair. The people building these tools understand what it takes to pass.

Certin is founded and built by Grant Bailey. What started as a side project to fix broken exam prep has grown into a portfolio of certification platforms used by thousands of professionals. Every product is built with the same hands-on approach — if the content isn't good enough to pass the exam, it doesn't ship.
